Warranty
Warranty Coverage & Terms
Please carefully review the Warranty Policy and Terms & Conditions before placing your order with TrueFit Auto Parts. By placing an order, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to the policies, terms, conditions, and requirements outlined below.
1. Warranty Period:
1.1 TrueFit Auto Parts provides a standard 30-day “Parts Replacement Only” warranty, unless a different warranty period or coverage is specifically stated on the invoice.
1.2 If available and purchased separately, the 90-day warranty option extends the standard warranty period by an additional 60 days.
1.3 Unless otherwise stated on the invoice, all other warranty terms, conditions, exclusions, and requirements remain the same under both the 30-day and 90-day warranty options.
1.4 Warranty coverage is valid only during the applicable warranty period. Warranty claims submitted after the applicable warranty period has expired are not covered under this policy.
2. Warranty Activation:
2.1 The warranty period automatically begins on the date the unit is delivered to the purchaser, as confirmed by the shipping carrier’s delivery records.
3. Warranty Coverage & Requirements
3.1 The warranty does not cover labor costs, installation costs, removal costs, diagnostic charges, towing, rental vehicles, or storage fees.
3.2 The warranty is non-transferable and applies only to the original purchaser named on the invoice.
3.3 If a part covered under this warranty is determined to be defective, TrueFit Auto Parts’ obligation is limited to repairing or replacing the covered part or component. If a replacement is required but an equivalent replacement part is unavailable, TrueFit Auto Parts may, at its discretion, issue a refund for the replacement part, not to exceed the original purchase price of that part.
3.4 TrueFit Auto Parts may, at its discretion, replace a defective unit with another used, functional assembly of like kind. The replacement unit may have mileage equal to or greater than the original unit, depending on availability.
3.5 Replacement or repair of an engine, transmission, component, or other part covered under this warranty is considered a warranty repair and does not extend, renew, or otherwise change the original warranty period or its terms.
3.6 All warranty claims must be submitted within the applicable warranty period and must include a copy of the original invoice or other proof of purchase.
3.7 — Engines: Engine warranties cover defects resulting in knocking or excessive smoking, subject to the applicable warranty terms. Coverage is limited to defects in the engine block, cylinder heads, pistons, crankshaft, camshaft, rocker assemblies, and oil pump. Any additional components or accessories included with an engine are not necessarily covered. Bolt-on accessories, electrical control modules, wiring, sensors, and other ancillary components that may be included with the engine are excluded from warranty coverage unless specifically stated otherwise on the invoice. The warranty is void if the engine heat tab has been melted, removed, or tampered with.
3.8 — Transmissions: Transmissions are warranted to be in good working order against covered slippage or shifting failures. Accessories and ancillary components, including but not limited to modulators, governors, electrical control modules, linkage, mounts, seals, gaskets, and fluids, are not covered under this warranty unless specifically stated otherwise on the invoice.
3.9 — Installation & Maintenance Requirements: To maintain warranty coverage, all recommended installation and replacement procedures must be properly followed. TrueFit Auto Parts may require documentation or proof that these procedures were completed. Failure to provide reasonable proof when requested may result in denial of a warranty claim. After installation, the purchaser is responsible for following the vehicle manufacturer’s recommended maintenance schedule and may be required to provide maintenance records or other documentation in connection with a warranty claim.

4. Warranty Exclusions:
4.1 This warranty does not cover claims, failures, or damage resulting from failure to maintain proper coolant, fluid, refrigerant, or lubrication levels; overheating; abuse; negligence; freezing; fire; flood; vandalism; theft; collision; acts of nature; competition or racing; use not approved by the vehicle manufacturer; improper load capacity; improper towing; contaminated fluids, coolants, or lubricants; misuse; adverse road conditions; riots; acts of war; or other circumstances beyond normal vehicle operation.
4.2 This warranty does not cover labor costs, accommodation expenses, storage fees, incidental or consequential damages, physical injury, property damage, medical expenses, telephone charges, rental vehicle expenses, lost wages or earnings, freight, shipping, towing, or other per-diem expenses.
4.3 Commercial use, for-hire use, sporting use, racing, or other competitive use is not covered under this warranty.
4.4 Breakdowns or failures caused by mechanical alterations, modifications, or installations that do not meet the vehicle manufacturer’s specifications are not covered.
4.5 Factory recalls and failures resulting from a factory recall are not covered under this warranty.
4.6 Costs or expenses associated with obtaining repair estimates, diagnostic evaluations, or work performed solely to determine the cost or scope of a repair are not covered.
4.7 Breakdowns caused by excessive wear and tear based on the vehicle’s age, mileage, or normal operating conditions are not covered. Breakdowns that occur while the part or vehicle is covered under another warranty are also excluded.
4.8 Breakdowns or failures covered by a manufacturer’s warranty or recall, distributor or repairer guarantee, another written warranty, government or court order, decree or settlement, or any valid and collectible insurance policy are not covered under this warranty.
4.9 Leaking gaskets or seals are not covered unless specifically stated otherwise on the invoice. TrueFit Auto Parts does not cover oil leaks or damage to engines or transmissions resulting from failure to replace recommended seals, gaskets, or filters during installation. Transmission failures resulting from failure to properly flush the transmission cooling lines before installation are not covered. Certain transmissions may require relearning, resetting, programming, or flashing by a qualified dealer or repair facility. These services, as well as replacement of electronic valve bodies, are not covered unless specifically stated otherwise. External transmission switches and sensors are not covered.
4.10 Although our parts are cleaned before shipment when applicable, used engines and transmissions may have external dirt, oil, rust, stains, or other normal signs of prior use. Cosmetic or external appearance is not covered under this warranty.
4.11 Warranty claims for parts located or used outside the United States are not covered.
4.12 Claims initiated after the applicable warranty period has expired are not covered.
4.13 Once a warranty claim has been initiated, the purchaser must not continue operating the vehicle or part until TrueFit Auto Parts has reviewed the claim and provided further instructions or a claim determination. Continued operation after a suspected warranty-related failure may void warranty coverage.
4.14 Improper installation of an engine or transmission may void the warranty. Installation must be performed by a qualified automotive repair professional or facility in accordance with the applicable manufacturer’s procedures and specifications. TrueFit Auto Parts may require reasonable documentation of professional installation when evaluating a warranty claim.

6.2 If an order has been placed and processed and the purchaser requests cancellation, a 25% handling and restocking fee will apply.

Incorrectly ordered parts and customer-requested cancellations are the purchaser’s responsibility.
6.5 Engines and transmissions must be returned in the same condition in which they were shipped. No refund or credit will be issued for returned engines or transmissions that have been altered, disassembled, installed, damaged, or otherwise changed from their original shipped condition, except for damage that occurred during shipping and has been verified by a TrueFit Auto Parts representative.
6.6 If a part is visibly damaged at the time of delivery, the purchaser should note “DAMAGED” on the delivery receipt and, when possible, have the delivery driver acknowledge and sign the notation. If a damaged or incorrect part is received, the purchaser must notify TrueFit Auto Parts Customer Service by email and telephone within 3 business days (72 hours) of delivery.
DO NOT RETURN THE PART until you receive return instructions and, when required, a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) from TrueFit Auto Parts.
6.7 If a part is determined to be defective and covered under the applicable warranty, TrueFit Auto Parts reserves the right to first offer a replacement part. If a suitable replacement is unavailable, a refund for the cost of the part may be issued after the defective part has been returned and inspected. No refund will be issued unless the defective part is returned within the applicable warranty period.
If the purchaser requests a replacement before returning the original defective part, TrueFit Auto Parts may require payment for the replacement part. Once the original defective unit is returned, inspected, and approved, the applicable refund may be processed. Return shipping costs are the purchaser’s responsibility unless otherwise stated in writing by TrueFit Auto Parts.
When requesting a return, the purchaser should provide a detailed written explanation of the reason for the return.
